Epiphany

Although we will celebrate it Sunday this year, today is the traditional feast of the Epiphany. Click here for more information from Catholic Encyclopedia on the history and traditions of the Epiphany.
Anyone have a good recipe for King's Cake?

Good Morning
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all you work on this website. I use your website as reference material, every sunday. Open Wednesdays help me each week, teach the children from our Junior Liturgy what the readings really mean, and they always have interesting facts for me to share, to make things relate to our own lives. I am from Greenwood, Nova Scotia in Canada. You reach a lot of people, I thought you should know. Donna Peters

King Cake is virtually cinnamon roll dough twisted or braided in a circle and decorated with a simple sugar icing and colored sugar sprinkles. I am from the New Orleans, LA area and recently moved to TX, so I am hoping I can recreate this recipe myself. Good Luck!

We did the Epiphany box that was mentioned in the ideas on Catholicmom.com. My girls age 3 and 7 loved doing this as we decorated it and read the passages from the Bible.

It was such a neat thing to do.
